Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“Earshot”, “we”). By creating an account or using Earshot, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can use Earshot
- You must be 18 or older. Some shows have their own age limits (18+ or 21+), shown on each event; follow them.
- One person per account. Keep your sign-in methods secure; you’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can’t use Earshot if we’ve removed you before, or if the law where you live doesn’t allow it.
What Earshot does, and doesn’t
- We recommend shows based on your listening and help you make Plans with friends.
- We don’t sell tickets. Tickets are sold by the seller we link to (for example Ticketmaster), under their terms and prices. Refunds, cancellations and entry are between you and the seller or venue.
- Show details come from sellers and other sources and can change or be wrong. Check with the seller before you buy or go.
- Recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees that you’ll enjoy a show.
Your music services
When you connect a music service, you let us read your listening to build your taste profile. We never post, change your library, or act for you there. That service’s own terms still apply to your use of it, and you can disconnect at any time.
Your content
Your content is what you add: your profile, messages, reactions, notes on Plans, ratings, and reports. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you’ve chosen, and use it to run and improve Earshot. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to keep something for safety or the law, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Rules
Don’t use Earshot to:
- Sell or resell tickets, or ask people to send money. Payment links are blocked in Plan chat. Buy from the official seller.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone, or share someone’s private information.
- Send spam, mass friend requests, or content unrelated to going to shows.
- Post anything illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or get around Earshot’s security or limits, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
Reports, suspension and removal
You can report a person, a Plan or a message. Our team aims to respond within 48 hours. If an account breaks these rules or seems to belong to someone under 18, we may remove content, suspend the account while we review it, or close it. We’ll tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk. If you think we got it wrong, email support@[your-domain].
Leaving
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Pause or delete. It’s permanently removed after a 30-day grace period, during which you can change your mind. You can download your data first.
Changes to Earshot and these terms
Earshot will change over time, and features may come and go. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Earshot after that, the new terms apply.
Disclaimers
Earshot is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we don’t promise it will always work, be error-free, or that show information will be correct. We aren’t responsible for sellers, venues, shows, or other users’ conduct, including at events you attend.
Limitation of liability
[To be drafted by counsel: the extent to which Earshot limits liability, including any cap, as permitted by the law where you live. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be waived by law.]
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State / country]. [To be drafted by counsel: where and how disputes are resolved.] Before starting a formal dispute, please email us so we can try to fix it.
